RoboCup / 2006 Competition in Bremen / Humanoid League / Qualification

Qualification and Registration Schedule


Teams who want to participate in the RoboCup Humanoid League competitions must go through a qualification and registration process. The schedule for this process is as follows:

Qualification


The qualification procedure is necessary to make sure that only teams who are able to play will attend the competition in Bremen and also to make sure that the competition can be held in the space and time available.

Qualification is a prerequisite for registration.

Only teams who preregistered may submit qualification material.

The qualification material should consist of:
  • A team description paper, in PDF-format, up to 12 pages, formatted according to the Springer LNCS style. The team description should have the quality of a scientific paper and should emphasize the research approach and scientific achievements of your team.
  • A link to a video in a common format (e.g. WMV or MPEG, <10MB) showing your robot performing a penalty kick. This means that the robot walks to the ball and kicks the ball towards a goal. You may use video material from the 2005 competition in Osaka.
  • For each type of robot you want to use in the competition a filled technical questionnaire, also in PDF-format, formatted according to the Springer LNCS style. The following specifications should be given (please paste):

    • Image of the robot
    • Name of robot (or robot type)
    • Height
    • Weight
    • Walking/running speed
    • Number of degrees of freedom (DOF)
    • Actuators used (e.g. servo, pneumatic muscle), for each type
      • Manufacturer, model
      • Torque
      • Speed
    • Sensors used (e.g. camera, accelerometer, force sensor), for each type
      • Manufacturer, model
      • Specification (e.g. camera resolution, frame rate, special optics)
    • Processing boards used, for each type
      • Manufacturer, model
      • Processor
      • Speed

The deadline for submitting the qualification material is February 15th, 2006.

The material will be reviewed by the members of the technical committee and the organizing committee.

The qualification decision will be announced by February 28th, 2006.

The qualification material of the qualified teams will be published on this website
