The 6th Workshop on Humanoid Soccer Robots

Workshop 5 @ IEEE-RAS International Conference on Humanoid Robots
October 26th, 2011, Bled, Slovenia

Humanoid soccer has seen a lot of progress in recent years, e.g., with the introduction of a bipedal
standard platform robot (Nao), soccer games for larger robots (TeenSize), and the introduction of
competitions for simulated humanoid robots (3D Simulation).
The ultimate goal of Humanoid Soccer Robotics is to develop a team of "humanoid soccer players"
– i.e. robots with human-like motion, intelligence, and skills in playing soccer. This initiative poses
a unique set of challenges to robotics, AI, and many other fields.
The workshop aims at bringing together researchers from the RoboCup and FIRA communities, as
well as other researchers interested in the subject.
The workshop program consists of two invited talks, six contributed papers, and a panel discussion.
